The photos I’ve taken of Libya are particularly personal. As a lesser known location, my hometown Al Zawiyah is a place I took for granted when visiting as a child. Seeing it through a camera brought unexpected mystery to my perspective of this previously familiar land - the lens somehow took on a proxy for my Westernised eyes.
